Harvey students celebrated the Chinese New Year, the year of the dragon, on Monday, January 23, 2012. The 3rd grade classrooms of Mrs. Middleton and Mrs. McNeely walked around the school's hallway as each classroom then joined in behind them to be a part of the Chinese Parade, too. Students displayed many different Chinese art projects, made with the help of Harvey's art teacher, Mr. Grover. Mrs. Middleton's 3rd grade class lead the effort in which Harvey students collected a little over 1,000 items (canned goods, boxed items and personal hygiene products) to donate to the Salvation Army. Nice job Harvey students!
