Here is a brief outline of where we will be headed this quarter.
| Our focus for 4th quarter Social Studies will primarily be the Civil War. I have ordered another simulation in which the students will be Union or Confederate soldiers. Your children really enjoyed the first one and requested to do another. | We will have two Carthage students doing a lot of our Science instruction 4th quarter. The students met them briefely this quarter, and seemed to enjoy them. Our topic is mixtures and solutions. |
| This last quarter of Math covers Units 7 - 12. We will discuss exponential notation and negative numbers, fractions and ratios, areas, volume and capacity, some basic algebra and end with more on probability. Wow!! A lot to accomplish in a short time. | We continue to center our Reading and Language Arts around Storyworks, our monthly literature magazine. We will have one more magazine this year. We have one more common reading and writing assesment to complete this quarter. |
