Students sure had a fun filled night at Halloween at Harvey!

Curriculum Update!!

Students are doing a great job of reading throughout the week. Keep on reading and turning in your sheet on Fridays. Please remember to write down at one connection your child makes while reading with you on the reading sheet sent home weekly. Please continue practicing math facts on a nightly basis.  The addition facts need to be mastered by the end of second grade.

We are working on writing interresting opening sentences for our stories.  Please point out interesting openings as you read with your child.

In science we are beginning our insect unit.  The first insects to arrive should be the ants!

For Your Information!

Teachers will be meeting this week to set up possible conference times.  When the sheet showing your time comes home it is important to respond quickly if the time won't work for you so we can try and reschedule. 

Our schedule for specials is:

A day= music,  B day= art,  C day= gym,  and D day= library.

What would your dentist say about these teeth?  Our class sure had fun during the fall party.  We played harvest-O Bingo, ate treats, and of course posed for pictures.

 

  

Grade K-2 STUDENTS ARE INVITED TO TAKE PART IN AN ART PROJECT CONTEST RELATED TO THE THEME OF:

"WHO IS DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.?"  IF YOUR CHILD IS INTERESTED PLEASE WRITE A NOTE IN THEIR ASSIGNMENT NOTEBOOK.  ALL ENTRIES MUST BE AT UW-PARKSIDE BY NOV. 20TH.
